The 2000s didn’t just have hits, they had albums that rewired your brain. We’re going year by year through the records that defined the decade, arguing over what actually deserves the crown and admitting which ones still live rent-free in our heads. If you grew up on CD binders, iPod clicks, and music that felt like a personality, this one is for you.

We also hit the biggest pop culture headlines of the week with an American Music Awards recap, including Taylor Swift’s no-show and the online spiral that followed, plus BTS taking home major wins and the bigger question of what a “comeback” even means anymore. It turns into the kind of conversation we all have with friends: half music history, half internet reality check, and fully opinionated.

Then we slow it down with our Song of the Week, “Carry You Home” by Alex Warren, and talk about why certain love songs trigger a very specific kind of emotional gut punch. After that, Lindsay’s Music Meme Breakdown brings the chaos, with perfectly timed clips that somehow turn into real commentary on bands, voices, and the way we experience music now.

If you’re into 2000s music nostalgia, album deep dives, awards show reactions, and funny real-talk tangents, subscribe, share this with a friend who still argues about the best year in music, and leave us a review so more people can find the show.

2000s Music Premise And Setup

SPEAKER_05

The two thousands defined our childhood. But what album defined each year? Let's talk about it.

SPEAKER_01

I fucking love I'm the worst person to have a podcast.

SPEAKER_07

I think they're what is up, everyone.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome back to the show.

SPEAKER_02

Welcome back, everybody.

SPEAKER_01

Taylor said we are going to be going over the albums that defined the 2000s. But on top of all of that, we've got the song of the week that Taylor picked, and we have the American Music Awards, the AMAs. They happened. We're gonna talk about that. We're gonna recap it. But first, life updates Taylor.

SPEAKER_03

Why don't

Life Updates And Family Trips

SPEAKER_03

we call it the Amas?

SPEAKER_01

The Amos? The Amos? The Amos. The big old Amos.

SPEAKER_03

The Mamas. Mamasita.

SPEAKER_01

I love the Ammas.

SPEAKER_03

The Ammas. Uh Life updates?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, give them to me.

SPEAKER_05

Uh really, I don't have anything. I do be working, and unfortunately. Hip-Hoff. So, you know. Anywho, uh, so there's that. I do be working like a dog.

SPEAKER_01

Um like a dog.

SPEAKER_05

I have a nail appointment to get some new nails. That's exciting. Uh we're getting ready to leave for Ohio.

SPEAKER_01

That's nice, nice, nice.

SPEAKER_05

Um, big, big things coming, big things coming. Two Ohio trips.

SPEAKER_01

Big things, Gidget. Big things, Gidget.

SPEAKER_05

Anyways, what about you? You have a baby, so oh, I taught your baby how to say six seven. And then it's still my greatest accomplishment. I need you to understand that. And I didn't get a video, and I need you to send me a video so that I can send it to my people.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'll have to have Lindsay send it. I don't have a video. So I'll have to.

SPEAKER_05

Does she have a video?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. She took one. Yeah, she took one. Good, good, good, good, good, good. Um, tomorrow I am surprising him with a little day trip. We're gonna head down to old Outer Banks, North Carolina, and uh we are going to go to the Gravegigger Dungeon because that's where Gravedigger is.

SPEAKER_05

So and he's gonna get to see Gravedigger, Gravedigger.

SPEAKER_01

He's gonna see the drivers, they have like a little restaurant there, a little uh like monster truck ride for the kids.

SPEAKER_05

Your baby is going to lose his mind, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Dude, he's gonna be so excited.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_05

Gosh, I wish it would be a core memory for him, but it'll be a core memory for you. That's so fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, it's gonna be awesome. It's gonna be great.

SPEAKER_05

How far are you guys from the outer banks?

SPEAKER_01

Uh, like an hour and a half, hour four.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, that's not bad. Why can't I think you're like four hours away?

SPEAKER_01

Same here. Like everyone kept telling me I should go, and I'm like, that's so far away.

SPEAKER_05

That's so far. Two hour drive.

SPEAKER_01

Nothing to do down there. If you're not a beach person, the outer banks is so boring. So yeah, yeah. Yeah. I've never wanted to go, but that's where Gravedigger is, and my boy loves Gravedigger, so gosh, he's gonna lose it. We are making the trip down tomorrow. Make sure someone records it. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, um, I did put up a couple of short clips of us talking to Scott Lacey today from the Clarks.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

And um love you, Scott.

SPEAKER_05

You're my guy, you really are. I'm so bad with names. I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so I put that up, and then also I did put up a post uh about um taking him to see Huba Stank. We went and saw Huba Stank the other day, so I put that up as well. Where your baby fell asleep? He did for the entire concert. The entire concert he fell asleep.

SPEAKER_05

Do you guys really be be like fighting in front of him? You think he just finds peace and loud noises? Maybe. I mean do your fights sound like metal concerts?

SPEAKER_01

Who, me and Lindsay?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we don't fight in front of him. That's a big no-no in my house.

SPEAKER_05

I I really think because I assume you guys have the baby headphones on.

SPEAKER_01

No, no.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, well, first of all, you need to start doing that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So uh so here, okay. All right, here's here's the hoopastink story, okay? So we went to Busch Gardens to see uh Ryan Cabrera, also no headphones, and it was very loud, right? But like he was having a good time, everything was cool. Um, so then this time, right, we go to see Huba Stink, and Lindsay's like, this is so much louder than uh Ryan

Taking A Baby To Loud Concerts

SPEAKER_01

Cabrera, which it wasn't also. That's just wrong information. Um, but like it was a heavier concert, like more instrumental stuff. So it was perceived louder, but honestly, it was quieter because there was lace less bass in the arena, right? So um I started looking into it because I was like, well, I see all of these other parents with their kids, like we can't all collectively be bad parents, right? You know what I mean? Yeah, because like I could understand if you're right up against the stage or being super, super close, you know. I can understand needing the headphones, but like we were not near the speakers, if that makes sense. So I was like, it's not that loud, you know what I mean? It's no, it's louder than like music at our house, but not by a ton. So um turns out I'm a horrible parent. Yes, and everybody that went to that concert is also a horrible parent. Yeah, your baby should have a baby head. Yeah, yeah, I know now, but but I immediately was like, hey, we can leave. Like I was like, it is. I I like Kuba Stank, I think it was a great concert, but I was like, we literally can go. Like, I I don't I don't have any feelings towards it, you know what I mean? But instead, since he was already like falling asleep, we just held him really close to us and covered his ears the entire time. Yeah, so um we did what we could, and then a security guard also went and got us uh earplugs for him. So shout out to that awesome security guard for doing that.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, and and for the parents listening, don't be like Harley and put headphones on your babies. It's not it's not to keep them comfortable, like that's not what those headphones are for. No, it is it is it's the same reason it's safety, and also if you're an adult and you're going to many, many, many, many, many concerts, you need earplugs because it will ruin your eardrums. Your ears are based off of vibrations. So if you're going exactly. So if you're going to all these concerts with these heavy vibrations, your ear goes to the vibrations, literally, like wear earplugs. Also, while we're on the tangent, wear a bike bike helmet. I'm tired of seeing these kids out here without a bike helmet. Safety.

SPEAKER_01

Just like at the concert.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, if you're riding a bike. If you're riding a bike. No, Dylan and I were driving. Sorry, sorry. I'm gonna go off topic. Anywho, your baby needs earlier.

SPEAKER_01

We have them now. For the record, we have them now. I or Lindsay ordered them while we were sitting there. We genuinely didn't know. It wasn't like we purposely were like, let's go do this, you know what I mean? Like that's okay. I th I thought it was okay. You know what I mean? Bad bad on my part. I should have done the research 100%.

SPEAKER_05

Oh also, here's the thing. I not to put the blame on you.

SPEAKER_01

I don't have no, it is it 100% is blame on me.

SPEAKER_05

And I fear it also might have just been common sense that you're being and it's not just it's everyone that why were none of those babies wearing baby headphones?

SPEAKER_01

At the Ryan Cabrera concert, there was a kid, he was awesome, had to be like four years old tops, yeah, literally walked up to the giant bass speaker and put his put his head up to the bass, and you could see it vibrating his shirt. Do you think maybe he was the dad goes to the security guard who was literally resting on this speaker, goes, Hey, is that on? And he was like, Yeah, it's a concert. And his kid, you could just you look at him, and it's like that one family guy episode of uh Peter Schmidt sitting in the chair with the speakers and is blowing him backwards. Literally, that's what was happening to this kid. So, not to say that I'm better than others, but I don't feel like I'm the worst parent in the world.

SPEAKER_05

But what if he was deaf?

SPEAKER_01

He definitely wasn't. He was dancing and having a great time to the concert. He definitely was not, but he might have been after, he might have been after.

SPEAKER_05

That's insane. I hope they took him to the doctors. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

I was more concerned about the vibrations and his heart because, like, you can have like heart issues from yeah, high, high base points.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, not good vibrations.

SPEAKER_01

It was wild, dude. It was wild. But no, for real though, like there were so many kids at even the Huba Stan concert. There was this one girl um up on her dad's shoulders, um, just having a blast, and she couldn't have been more than like two or three.

SPEAKER_05

Was the was the second concert indoors?

SPEAKER_01

No, no, neither one of them were indoors, they were both outdoor concerts.

SPEAKER_05

That makes me feel better about it. Um, because definitely if it's it's still not great, but I feel like it's not as bad. Do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, like I said, I I felt like the concert was definitely loud, but in the in the concerts that I've been to, it was nowhere near the loudest. Yeah. And um it was like like the sound of the train was as loud as the concert, if that makes sense.

SPEAKER_05

The train.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, at Busch Gardens, like there's a train that you can ride.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I didn't know.

SPEAKER_01

And like the yeah, and like the train whistle, if you sit up front of the train, the train whistle was as loud as the show.

SPEAKER_05

So what I'm hearing is yeah, but like the concert is more consistent.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, that was the issue when I read it online. It was like it's not it's not necessarily how loud it is, it's the exposure for a long period of time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, but like, yeah, I don't know, man. Like it was it was uh louder than like music in the car for sure, but like realistically, to be completely honest with you, not by much. Which I don't know, yeah, I don't know what that says about like the music in our car. You know what I mean? So I'm like, I don't know, sounds like all around bad.

SPEAKER_05

Like it sounds like you should just be wearing baby headphones at all times.

SPEAKER_01

But he also has been like listening to music since he was born. You know, I we used to dance with the record player and everything.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but that one's not that loud.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I'm saying. Like, you would think so, but like I'm telling you, Taylor, this concert wasn't much louder than we would have that on in the house.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, then I think that concert was probably that's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_01

Like it was loud, but it wasn't like crazy.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I think the concert's probably fine then.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I didn't I didn't have a it said that I should keep a decibel meter on me, and I was like, We're not doing all that. He's gonna have to figure it out. I don't know. Yeah, dude.

SPEAKER_05

He can cover his ears, we can we can yell a little louder if we need to talk to him.

SPEAKER_01

The same can't hear the same people would also tell me that I should have a radon meter in my home in in case of like radiation, and it's like and we're just like not okay, we're not doing that.

SPEAKER_05

Well, maybe we should in 2026, but like that's like keeping a meat thermometer on you at all times to go to a restaurant. Like, I'm just not doing that.

SPEAKER_01

Although I don't hate that idea as somebody that accidentally bit into a raw chicken breast.

SPEAKER_05

Crazy, you're not cutting into the chicken, you don't cut your chicken sandwich.

SPEAKER_01

It was a chicken sandwich. No, I didn't, I don't know, I don't do that.

SPEAKER_05

Rookie move. You should start.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, now rookie move. Trust me, I do now. That's so funny. But like, yeah, I don't know. You know, we we did the best with the situation.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, no, he's fine.

SPEAKER_01

And like we did we did have genuine concern the entire time and made sure to cover up his ears, and yeah, and I forced him to wear the earplug that he hated, but I'll be all right. Um so that's our life updates, guys. Chris unfortunately wasn't able to make the episode, but he sends his regards. His lovely wife is out of town, so he is a single mother who works two jobs, who loves her kids and never stops. So he's doing his best over there. Um but uh the American Music Awards happened, Taylor. Yes, and guess how many of them Taylor Swift walked away with? Now remember Taylor Swift was uh on track to have the opportunity to win eight uh American Music Awards this

American Music Awards Recap

SPEAKER_01

year. She was nominated for eight. How many of those do you think she brought home? Four four? She left with zero, Taylor. She also did not attend the ceremony. That became that became one of the night's biggest talking points online after the show. I wonder why. So do you think fans were surprised or is it? Is it a political reason?

SPEAKER_05

Is there is there like a political reason that she didn't show? Like is something going on?

SPEAKER_01

Not that I'm aware of. I mean, she does have a lot going on right now.

SPEAKER_05

I was gonna say, honestly, I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of happy she didn't show up because she is getting to live the life. I mean, she's in her 30s, you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't she like planning like a big event?

SPEAKER_05

Something I feel something really important is happening in her library like a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Well, some would hope, but not for everybody.

SPEAKER_01

Um, BTS reunited following their military service. Yes, they did return to the AMAs and won Artist of the Year Summer Song of the Year and Best Male K-pop artist.

SPEAKER_05

Let's go. My friend went to go see them in Orlando.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think that BTS is having the biggest comeback in music history?

SPEAKER_05

Um, no.

SPEAKER_01

No?

SPEAKER_05

No. Here's my thing. We how do I gosh, not to bring it back to Taylor Swift, and and I'm sure I could be wrong, and I'm sure once clips of this go up, everyone's gonna tell us. That's another thing. I gotta turn off my Instagram notifications. I was getting notifications the other day, and I said one of these are gonna say something about me.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so you saw what they said about me.

SPEAKER_05

No, not not all of them. Oh I didn't see it was it was something about like what we were discussing, and I was like, guys, it's just never that deep. Like, we get on the show saying we don't know what we're talking about, guys. We're just yapping. We're not giving you facts.

SPEAKER_01

They said so you literally don't know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, yes, any anytime, and I'm pretty sure you can go back and look. Could be wrong. Don't quote me on that. Because literally what I say when I say things, I'll go to say something. I'm like, actually, don't quote me on that because who am I? Who am I?

SPEAKER_01

It just proves that like people don't even number one, they didn't even watch the entire clip, clearly.

SPEAKER_05

They didn't watch it.

SPEAKER_01

Also, don't believe everything you see on the internet, and also like it was pulled out of context, and like I purposely pulled what would be like the most like controversial click clickable part to people to be like, hey, you know what I mean? So it just proved my point. Yeah, it just proved my point.

SPEAKER_05

Um, no, what was I gonna say? Oh, I don't think so. Only because like people knew that BTS had to go do their duties, right? Like people knew what was to come about, and they also knew I'm pretty sure they knew they were getting back together after. So comeback, I don't know if I would call it a comeback because it was something that was already planned, right? Like people are really excited, they're so excited, and I think that their ticket sales are gonna be through the roof because they were gone for the past four years, right? Like, I think that. However, you want to talk about comeback, we're gonna talk about the air store, and I'm not even a Swifty. I'm so I'm gonna say it because that girl dropped Tails dropped off the face of the earth for like 12 years. No, what dude was like it was like 10 years. No, no, should I call my kind of right now and ask her? Yes, okay, later on. Let me see.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, call her.

SPEAKER_05

I I could be wrong, but it's like she dropped off. No one really knew what was going on or why she dropped off the face of the earth. Do you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01

She just kind of like I don't disagree with you. I think that the timeline is crazy. 12 years is a very long time.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, I take back my 12. It was definitely I want to say it was like 10 years. Like, I feel like she was with that guy for like 10 years.

SPEAKER_01

No, call call her. You don't think she's called McKenna? Call up McKenna.

SPEAKER_05

Tell her the last hit.

SPEAKER_01

Tell her she's on the show. Tell her she's on the show.

SPEAKER_05

I will. Gosh, you guys think I look like Eminem.

SPEAKER_01

A little bit.

SPEAKER_05

Hello, my sweet baby angel. You are currently on air. Can I show you? Hello, McKenna. I have a Taylor Swift question for you.

SPEAKER_02

Please let me answer.

SPEAKER_05

And you know what's funny is I literally was like, shall we ask McKenna? Before I was like, do we Google it? Okay. When Taylor Swift kind of dropped off the face of the earth, right? No music, no concert. Well, maybe music, but like no, no concerts. Am I fair to say that? Like she was still no nothing. How long was that? How long was her well? Never mind. It makes it way less dramatic.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I was saying. Your timeline was way off.

SPEAKER_02

Let me fact check myself.

SPEAKER_04

Fact-check yourself.

SPEAKER_02

Right after 1989 came out. Reputation was the first album that came out when she came back.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And I think 1989 came out in 2014 and Reputation came out in 2016.

SPEAKER_05

So what about concert-wise? Like how long did she go? Is that to say?

SPEAKER_01

Whoa, whoa, hold on, hold on. Uh, I think I think McKenna might be wrong on that. Did did 1989 come out in 2014? Because I thought um the the album with Trouble, what was that? Um, was that Red?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Didn't that come out in 2014?

SPEAKER_05

No, that came out in 2012. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Damn, I'm old. Wow, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_05

Um, but she so she was still doing concerts during that time.

SPEAKER_01

So wait, 1989 was after trouble?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_05

Huh.

SPEAKER_01

It's all it's all very like close together for me. That those two albums.

SPEAKER_05

How long did she go without doing any sort of performance?

SPEAKER_02

Um, same time frame because there was a 1989 tour and then there was a reputation tour after reputation came out. Oh, so wasn't anything in between that?

SPEAKER_01

So like two years.

SPEAKER_05

Three. I think we decided it was three.

SPEAKER_01

Three years.

SPEAKER_02

And Reputation came out in 2017, and 1989 came out in 2014.

SPEAKER_05

So did oh that okay, that makes sense because then COVID hit. Yes, yeah. That okay.

SPEAKER_01

Tell her what you first said.

SPEAKER_05

I said like 12 years. I was like 10 or 12 years, like it was crazy. That's how long it felt. I don't know. Um, I I also in my head was like, well, now let's say it was three years, and then you said 2019 is when she did she do a tour in 2019?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, she did a tour in 2019.

SPEAKER_05

So the last actual tour she did before Ares tour would have been Reputation. Reputation, which was 2017. 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 is when Aeros Tour started. Oh, 2023. 2023.

SPEAKER_01

So that's six years without doing without without a tour, yeah. But she was putting out albums. Didn't like two didn't like two more albums come out between then? Because you had before the Aeros tour. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. No, no, that's what I was saying.

SPEAKER_01

I couldn't remember if it was plus she had that whole campaign where she did her own versions of everything she made. So like that also got fans through.

SPEAKER_05

This this is what we were talking about. We were talking about BTS and how BTS won. How did you say how many they yeah, they won.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, one artist of the year, Song of the Summer, and Best Male K-pop artist.

SPEAKER_05

Best male K-pop artist. So Harley was asking if we thought it was going to be the biggest comeback. Did you say in music, in music history? And I said no, because it doesn't beat the Eros Tour.

SPEAKER_01

Was the Aeros tour? But was the Eros Tour considered? I don't consider that a comeback. Taylor Swift didn't have a comeback, really, if you think about it. There was no comeback.

SPEAKER_02

She had a reputation comeback. Reputation was the comeback.

SPEAKER_05

Reputation was the comeback.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then yes.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I do remember that. Yes, I do remember that now. I would consider that a comeback. Not the greatest comeback in music history.

SPEAKER_05

But I also, so here was my saying is BTS, the reason that they stopped doing the things that they were doing is because they had to go do their military duties. And like everyone knew that. Like everyone knew, and then they also knew that they were coming back. So I do think like they are making a comeback, obviously, because their fans are excited to see them. I just don't think it's the biggest comeback on music history.

SPEAKER_01

I agree. I don't think it is. It was more of just the discussion topic, you know what I mean? I agree with you. I don't, I don't think.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Good discussion. I'm glad the three of us could have that.

unknown

Oh yes.

SPEAKER_02

I feel that I called me.

SPEAKER_05

Me too. I am gonna let you go though, okay?

SPEAKER_02

Well, did the people listen to her new song?

SPEAKER_05

New song? New song?

SPEAKER_01

Toy, the Toy Story song.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, so that's legit. It ended up being real. I know.

SPEAKER_01

I texted McKenna. I was like, hey, remember when we were like, there's this whole conspiracy about Toy Story? It ended up being real. Wow. So that means that those fans knew more than we did. Well, that's because they're yeah. That's crazy. To see the letters.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't believe it because I thought it was AI at first. Half the people said it was AI, half the people literally.

SPEAKER_01

The only reason I believed it, McKinnah, was because Lindsay showed me a post from the Toy Story Instagram page. And I was like, well, it's from their official page, so they're not gonna put that out if it's not real.

SPEAKER_05

Also, that's so she so she's doing a song for Toy Story.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I guess, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's about Jesse's origin story.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, it's gonna make us cry.

SPEAKER_02

Well, it's bobby, it's fun. Oh, is it country vibes?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it's I think it's called like trouble 2.0. I think it goes like, I knew you were when you walked in.

SPEAKER_02

Did he say trouble 2.0?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I think he's trying to be funny.

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, because like we don't do comedy here. What?

SPEAKER_05

I think he's trying to graphic joke. Do you think I look like Eminem? No one answered my question.

SPEAKER_02

You look so much like you. Oh, it's like completely.

SPEAKER_01

All right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right. So like you core any who's it Sabrina Carpenter continued her incredible rise by winning album of the year, best female pop artist, and best pop album.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, can I take it back? Dare I say Sabrina Carpenter has the biggest comeback?

SPEAKER_02

That's true. I'm so glad she's finally getting her flowers. Me too.

SPEAKER_05

Girl deserved she deserved it. Comeback, yeah. She I mean, she she was putting things out, she's always been putting things out. But you know what really bothers me is people don't know Sabrina before Sabrina.

SPEAKER_01

But you can't have a comeback if you weren't known prior. It's called a glow up.

SPEAKER_05

She has been grinding since her SVU days. That doesn't make it a comeback.

SPEAKER_01

That doesn't make it a comeback. That means that she's they don't know take on the world, but she is possible. I now now if now if she were to disappear right now and then come back and be successful, that is a comeback. You have to have something to come back to, is what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I I am very glad that she is getting the recognition that that she deserves. I feel like she deserves comeback, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Well, actually, that's not so many mom jokes, so many mom jokes. What uh you wouldn't get it. You guys aren't guys, you're not a guy's guy.

SPEAKER_05

No, I'm a girl's girl.

SPEAKER_01

Anyways, who had a big comeback?

SPEAKER_05

Okay, well, you guys have fun with your conversation. No, who had a big comeback? What were you talking about?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I was gonna say Harry Styles with his new album.

SPEAKER_05

That's fair.

SPEAKER_01

That's fair because he do we call do we call that a comeback?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I mean he sounded like a big thing.

SPEAKER_01

Didn't he put an album out last year?

SPEAKER_05

No, I don't think so. It was this year, it was this year.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but didn't he put one out last year also?

SPEAKER_05

No, no, no, I think he went a couple years without putting any.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, maybe I just know that everyone was they play watermelon sugar and that uh that other song of his that's really popular all the time. What the hell was that song called? As it was As It Was, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you've ever been in a mall, those two songs call it.

SPEAKER_05

If you've ever been in an Abercrombie in fitch, I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch.

SPEAKER_01

Take her if I had one wish. She's been gone since that song.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, see you later. Love you so much. Of course, always. Love you bye.

SPEAKER_01

Bye, Makenna. Um, so anywho's it. Uh Cat's Eye breaks through with one of the biggest surprises that was a success. Um, they won New Artist of the Year, Best Music Video, and additional breakthrough honors. Um that's exciting. That's another that's another K-pop group. Uh I'm gonna be honest. Like, I know I know Butter.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's the only BTS song. I know they have another one. Dynamite, you know dynamite, dynamite, yeah. Um I'm not I'm not a K-pop guy. Nothing against the genre at all. I the people who love it love it, and I get it. I think Butter and Dynamite are good songs. It's just not it's not my thing.

SPEAKER_04

That's okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, but Cat's Eye, hugely successful now, and yes, that's that's definitely happening. Uh Billy Idol. Haven't heard that in a while. Received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which is awesome. Uh, he then performed Eyes Without a Face and Dancing with Myself. And then other major winners, Shakira won Tour of the Year Tour of the Year. Bad Bunny, our boy, won multiple Latin categories. As he should. Cardi B, as you know, she doesn't dance anymore, she makes money moves, uh, won major hip-hop category awards, and Bruno Mars won multiple RB awards, and then the artist Somber won Best Rock Alternative Song and Best Rock Alternative Album. And then finally, Hunter slash X from K-pop Demon Hunters won Song of the Year and Best Pop Song and Other Awards. So, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

You know, you know who I love, and I've I've been listening, and I keep getting more there there are three artists right now that are in my rotation. Bruno Mars. I have been on a Bruno Mars kick, and that man is incredible. I think he's talking about more now, but like we need to talk about, we need to hype him up. I think he's underhyped. I I I think we need to hype him up more. Um, second, it's year. I keep getting new because I have my thing on shuffle and it brings in new heat.

SPEAKER_01

He thinks you're perfect.

SPEAKER_05

As he should. And then oh gosh, I already oh the third one who like I stopped listening to.

SPEAKER_07

Electric six.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, but no. Maroon Five. Ah Songs about Jane.

SPEAKER_05

Maroon Five. I've been listening to the whole the whole album with the the red girl thing.

SPEAKER_01

Songs about Jane.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, is that what that is? Um that helps a pop, dude.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's got them uh moves like Jagger, I believe.

SPEAKER_05

That's not that one.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, oh, that one has uh She Will Be Loved is on that one. Anywho, continue. Um, some other notable moments. Uh Fergie reunited with the black eyed peas. That was a huge nostalgic moment for the Hootie and the Blowfish returned 30 years after winning Best New Artist. They performed classic hits and received a huge crowd reaction. And then the Pussycat dolls reunited. Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt reunited to perform Don't Ja, marking 20 years since their AMA day.

SPEAKER_05

All of those are huge comebacks. Yes, they are. That's incredible.

SPEAKER_01

Um so yeah, that is the American Music Awards recap, guys. That is what is going on in the world of music. Let's talk about your song of the week.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yes. So I chose Carry You Home by Alex Warren. I've been on an Alex Warren kick. Um, here are my I have some thoughts, and I think about this. It's honestly one of those songs where if I'm in the right mood, it makes me cry. I think it's it's beautiful. And I know

Song Of The Week Breaks Hearts

SPEAKER_05

everyone loves the song Ordinary, and Ordinary is gorgeous, but like Carry You Home is my version of ordinary. Do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

For sure.

SPEAKER_05

Like that that's how I feel about it. It is one, like, there are a few songs that make me feel like emotional due to the thought of unconditional love, and that's one of them. Like, it literally is about putting your whole life on the line with one other person and being like, This is us, this is what we're gonna do. We're either gonna make or break it, but we're gonna do it together for the rest of our lives. And I think that's incredible, dude. It's such a good song.

SPEAKER_01

It's a very good song. It reminded me of Mumford and Sons. So if you like Mumford and Sons, I think you would like that song. Uh, it also reminded me a little bit of Ed Sheeran's more like folky works like Castle on the Hill, and um he had another song that was sort of like that, like supermarket flowers and a couple of things.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I feel like the whole Divide album.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the Divide album, I think you're right. I think you're right.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, um, because that one has Galloway Girl on it, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Don't quote me on that, I'm not sure. I know the Divide album had um Perfect, uh Perfect, and didn't it have Shape of You on it as well? Maybe I know Supermarket Flowers is on that album. Yeah, uh, but no, I I think that Alex Warren's a very talented artist and uh he's got a great voice, um kind of stands out in the folk world, I would say. And yeah, I think it's a great song. You did a great job.

SPEAKER_05

You you know what song it also reminds me of? Sorry, now I'm thinking of like I I either love really like pop RB, like that type of vibe, or like super, like a super heavy love song in the best way. And home by I almost said Blue Oyster Call, hello by Blue October. Blue October gives me the same like emotional response as this song.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, that's understandable.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I love Blue October. They just released uh Foil, their album Foil, which had uh Hate Me on it um on a double double issue vinyl. Yeah, it looks really good. Um no great pick for Song of the Week, buddy. Great pick, thank you, thank you. Uh so I'm excited for this next segment. Yeah, this is this is a first for us. Uh I've named this Lindsay's Music Meme Breakdown. So Lindsay, even though she can't be on the show as often as we would like her to be, in spirit, she loves sending these funny videos like we did on our live show. And these are some of the ones that we didn't get to, and she's gonna continue sending

Lindsay’s Music Meme Breakdown

SPEAKER_01

more throughout the week, and we're gonna take some and we're gonna do uh Tosh point oh style breakdowns every week of these videos.

SPEAKER_05

That's fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so let's dive right in to the first one.

SPEAKER_06

I'm waiting. I'm waiting.

SPEAKER_04

Just keep waiting, just keep waiting, just keep waiting, just keep waiting.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you can't restart Instagram, can you?

SPEAKER_04

What do you mean?

SPEAKER_01

You can't like it doesn't have like uh like a rewind button.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, you can, it's at the bottom of the video. What do you mean? It's not on this one.

SPEAKER_05

What? Well, you just have to let it play through again then.

SPEAKER_07

If it's keeping you going, don't worry about the heads.

SPEAKER_05

I can't really hear the words, but I'm I'm vibing with them. They're a good time.

SPEAKER_01

So it's it's teenagers by my chemical romance, to which I say this video should have the the caption, we have my chemical romance at home.

SPEAKER_05

That's funny.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like we have a relative that looks like this for sure.

SPEAKER_05

Um, all three of them are related to us if you didn't know.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_05

You know, we had um without going into it, we had sorry, this made me think of it. We had a person at work today who recently went to Ohio for a wedding, and they got back and they were telling me about it. And I thought that they were joking. They were like, Yeah, it was in the high room area. And I said, Oh, that's so funny because you're you're from Ohio. And they said, No, like actually, like for a wedding. And they were like, It's beautiful. And I said, I know I live there. Also, get out of my town. What do you mean you ended up in high room Ohio? How do you get there?

SPEAKER_01

Yo, look at these shorts, dude. Look at this guy's shorts.

SPEAKER_05

Those are those are undies, those aren't even shorts.

SPEAKER_01

That definitely went past dress code in school.

SPEAKER_05

No, those are not fingertip length. I love that the other guys in Daisy Dukes.

SPEAKER_01

I think these guys definitely know how to make moonshine in a bathtub.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, for sure. They also make toilet wine.

SPEAKER_01

Look at the tattoos on this dude. Jesus.

SPEAKER_05

They were done in his kitchen.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Should we dive into this next one?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, dive in.

SPEAKER_01

Yo, I think you were in an accident.

SPEAKER_05

That's how I feel most days of my life.

SPEAKER_01

It says when someone asks if you're okay and you say, Yeah, I'm good, and it's a truck on the highway, and the back of it's all like tore up and collapsed.

SPEAKER_05

He looked a little wonky.

SPEAKER_01

A little wonky.

SPEAKER_05

That is so funny.

SPEAKER_01

Uh let's do let's do this one. Let's see what this is about.

SPEAKER_05

Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. So for those who were say about this for those listening, for those listening, um, a man jumped off of his roof in a chicken costume onto a trampoline, and under the trampoline were his pet chickens, and he was bouncing, flapping his fake chicken wings, and then he went to bounce off of the trampoline and smacked his face on the I assume it's a chicken coop.

SPEAKER_01

Chicken coop. Yeah. Because he couldn't afford the chicken sedan.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, well. That was funny. That was good.

SPEAKER_01

So he hits his head, and then it uh the sound of him hitting his head linked up with the sound of this song by uh Michael Romance. No, who is this? Go. Uh, corn.

SPEAKER_05

I think corn or like same difference.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna watch it again. That's so funny.

SPEAKER_02

It's really funny.

SPEAKER_01

All right, this next one. One of these, Taylor, I picked specifically for you. I think it might be.

SPEAKER_05

For me. Sorry, I was trying to order chicken tendies. I'm dare to say getting hungry.

SPEAKER_01

It says, it says B Miminum.

SPEAKER_05

Minimum W.

SPEAKER_01

B Miminim W.

SPEAKER_05

And it's uh really funny.

SPEAKER_01

It's a BMW car driving on the highway, and the uh thing, the the front uh bumper is flapping around.

SPEAKER_00

Flap, in a mata, rubber, take a pick a thing in the home.

SPEAKER_05

I love how it just sinks up too.

SPEAKER_01

That's so funny. Funny. All right, let's dive into this next one. It says uh it says me running home after accidentally calling the Foo Fighters instead of the firefighters, and it's the the music video for this song by the Foo Fighters called My Hero.

SPEAKER_05

That's so I think it's pronounced My Hero.

SPEAKER_01

Guys, I gotta get my Pokemon card collection.

SPEAKER_05

That's so funny.

SPEAKER_01

Why is your house an apartment? Why is your house a hotel?

SPEAKER_05

Maybe he owns the hotel.

SPEAKER_01

David Grouchies.

SPEAKER_05

David Grochies. Is that actually David Grochies?

SPEAKER_01

No, that's David Grohl.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, we had him on the show that one time. I didn't know he was part of the Food Fighters.

SPEAKER_01

Shut up. What? Who is David Groch? That's not true, right? That's not true.

SPEAKER_05

No, genuinely, uh, I thought he was a metal artist. Who am I thinking of? Who's David Grohl? Or the Foo Fighters? Who's the guy that sings in the band that I hate? Who's that?

SPEAKER_01

Nirvana?

SPEAKER_05

No, the other band.

SPEAKER_01

Megadeth?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Who's that?

SPEAKER_01

Um, that's Dave Mustaine.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I have news for you.

SPEAKER_00

Hello, me. Me, the real me.

SPEAKER_04

That's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

My misfit way of life. Gosh, it makes my ears itch. Most value possession.

SPEAKER_05

And like it's making the back of my neck pain. is always 2020. Do I have a David David Mustaine Dave Mustaine phobia?

SPEAKER_01

You might thought. Uh Mastanobobia.

SPEAKER_05

Must endobobia.

SPEAKER_01

Anyways.

SPEAKER_05

That's really funny.

SPEAKER_01

Oh man.

SPEAKER_05

Well Dave Roll really is part of the Foo Fighters? He has such a metal. He has such a metal sound name.

SPEAKER_01

He has such a metal sound game discussion. I kid you not like like 90 times. I feel like it's like it's like groundhog day with you.

SPEAKER_05

It's like every six months you forget who Dave Girl oh no does that mean that the PTA I work with he's actually not joking and he just doesn't remember where we have these conversations.

SPEAKER_01

I mean really we've we've talked about him being many times. In my defense when we hit record I do kind of black out lock in where the foo fighters were the last artist on a list recently where it was just you and me about artists who you should see live and Dave Grohl was the picture that I chose because it was the foo fighters that was the answer to the final one.

SPEAKER_05

Okay so also in my defense I have never seen a picture of Dave Grohl.

SPEAKER_01

That's also a lie you've seen so many pictures of Dave I didn't know it was him.

SPEAKER_05

Do you know what I mean? Like maybe but I didn't know it was him but like why does he like to me I'm like he's a big buff guy with long hair and like tattoo sleeves and he's oh he's screaming into a microphone. Why does he have such a metal sounding name?

SPEAKER_01

Oh that's so funny Dave Roll. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

He looked like he was like a like an Ethan Stewart. You don't even need Dave Roll. And nobody I just made it up can you can you hear the dogs barking?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah it's okay though.

SPEAKER_05

That's good.

SPEAKER_01

Um so let's dive in to the center focus of this episode the albums that defined our childhoods the the the iconic albums of the 2000s we have one album 10 years 2000 to 2010 uh perf

Albums That Defined Each 2000s Year

SPEAKER_01

the album that was chosen for the year 2000 no strings attached in sync makes sense yeah I mean um it was either that or backstrough boy backstreet boys like those are the those are your two options you know yeah I personally would have gone with with backstreet boys but I'll let in sync have for a moment fun fact uh David uh David um Lindsay and Courtney's dad uh stole their copy of the Backstreet Boys uh Courtney told me about it today and he would listen to it all the time so that has to be mentioned on this show um yeah it's I mean it's a good album it defined in sync as an artist like it started uh justin Timberlake's curly haired career it's the reason that the tour got ruined guys it is the reason that is the reason the tour got ruined no other reason I could think of 2001 that's one of big events happened in that year um one in particular something really tremendous happened and that was hybrid theory by Lincoln Park uh the best selling album in the US for the year 2001 I'm honored I'm honored so three big things happened that year hybrid theory came out Taylor was born and you know the other one two well technically four things because the second album one of those things are second album hit the screen you know what I'm saying anyhow never mind I'm not going there um 2002 the M show Billboard's year end number one album master Dylan is honored on M was arguably the biggest artist in America yes gosh I love 2002 the Eminem show that was that was his first like that was it man with the real slim shady please stand up please please stand up stand up we salute you 2002 America's comeback year you might say yeah I mean we went really quiet after the revolutionary war you know what I'm saying and then it literally went revolutionary war emuling oh man geeked by these ones 2003 saw get rich or die trying by 50 cent this was Billboard's top album of that year it changed hip hop culture and launched g unit into the mainstream I don't know what that is 50 cent I know who that is g unit I don't know what that is so 50 cent um yeah I know who that is he got shot a lot so I've heard do you know what Fitty did when he got hungry 58 that's the dumbest joke in the world um yeah so far I've got no real complaints or real like input on any of these like I'm into it uh hybrid theory I think is one of the greatest albums of all time just saying um Eminem show fantastic album fantastic I would say I would say that to me not the defining point of Eminem's career I agree I I think um not relapse the the one that came after recovery I would say recovery defined Eminem's career because that was like when he came out with like his more aggressive rap style and like his like very specific like tone and sound of like that angrier tonality. I'm not afraid not afraid yeah stand on like that's not right yeah at monsters it's also the same like time frame that uh eight mile came out and he uh yeah he did the lose yourself so like yeah to me that's the MM sound that I fell in love with I I liked his early Slim Shady stuff but like I liked it for the humor of it it was kind of the same reason like I got into ICP when I was younger like I thought it was funny you know what I mean but like didn't really respect it in any sense you know like Slim Shady's a good song but like recovery forward yeah recovery forward is that's when he got dark yeah the uh Marshall Mathers uh one and two like oh dude headlights on gosh I love Eminem dude I really do so much closet the curtain call oh yeah so 2004 confessions by usher a boy that was when he could still sit you know because of the did he did he do it did he don't know did he not um one of the biggest RB albums ever produced multiple number one hits and defined a 2004 um I don't really care about usher I'm gonna like three songs I know that's a big one for Lindsay Lindsay loves usher loves usher make sure 2005 2005 saw massacre by 50 Cent come out uh Billboard's number one album that year I know that massive conversion commercial success showed 50 Cent wasn't a one album phenomenon um I don't know much of 50's music I'm gonna be honest with you I know like it's your birthday it's your birthday yeah the club um what's the other one full of sudden party like it's your birthday um what's the one that's that they sing in uh the hangover candy shop yeah that's not is that 50 cent I don't think that's 50 cents that's 50 cents yeah oh I think are you sure candy shop I'm like a hundred percent sure hundred percent someone it's not like 10 luck 20 20 skill 15 concentrating power of power of will five percent pleasure 15 pain and 100 no dude that what was the name of that candy shop uh candy shop yeah yeah 50 cent oh all right nice 2006 this is kind of obvious we all saw this one coming uh some hearts by carrie underwood oh billboard year ending number one album massive crossover success because she came from American Idol uh and released of course the iconic Before He Cheats song which is like the song I scream sing that and I am happily in a relationship massive crossover success uh one of the most successful American Idol albums ever rightfully I think she is next to Kelly Clarkson the most successful winner of American Idol yeah because like you got Kelly Clarkson David uh girl cheese what's his name David Weddle was on I think so it's either him or Archoletta one or the other might be David Archoleta why do all of the Davids have names of cheese David guacamole um like so yeah I mean it was fine I'm not a I'm not a country guy as we all know thank you comments for letting me know um oh that's the comment that I saw how you spell g u e a t t a I think gueta yeah he was not on American Idol so it must be so apparently you don't know that either it must have been arch al arch uh David Archoleta um 2007 another American Idol winner Daughtry's self-titled album Daughtry Billboard's biggest number one album of that year had a huge radio presence because it had that song home on it and it dominated the rock and adult contemporary formats uh dahtree known for his massive crossover into like rock and alternative rock and being the guy for the moms the moms love dotry if you are a people love dotry if you are a mom out there you love dotry and it's you know it's because you don't know dotry you know how people say that miss is it mr bright side is like the white people like if you come out of a womb and you are not of color and you're the color of paper you know that song by heart careful walking real fine line there I know that's why I try to make it um once you become a mom you automatically know every doctry song as soon as that baby comes out your baby knows Mr. Bright side and you know doctrine yep it's just that's the it's in the Bible it's in legally it's in the it's biblically accurate I would know I was a I was a baby once in the biblical sense um you know doctrine in the biblical sense in the biblical sense uh coming in 2008 obvious this is the most obvious answer in the world you've all been waiting for it makenh is on the edge of her seat right now waiting for us to get to this one it of course is fearless by T Swift and dare I say one of her better works gosh I love you love Taylor Swift I love that album fearless is a beautiful album it signaled Taylor's move from a country star to a global superstar one of the defining albums of her career massive sales and chart performance it's incredible yeah this was high this was her breakout right this was yeah I'm breaking breaking oh this pisses me off I didn't know this oh I'm so angry now oh I'm so angry now okay in it oh this makes me so angry whatever dude okay 2009 Taylor take a guess what it is Taylor Swift which album trying to think of what came after fearless um before we take a guess I think about this quite often I had a Taylor Swift fearless CD and it was her and it was like a like a golden CD do you remember that CD in the cover and she was like she was in like a tan gold dress but I remember you having a Taylor Swift CD I don't I don't remember what it was like well I feel like this is I'm gonna have to Google because I feel like this is like the Mandela effect because that album is her in a purple dress but when I think of fearless I think of like the gold dress anywho I don't know the album that came after that well you don't have to know the album that came after that because it's fearless Taylor it's fearless 2009 best selling album in America dominated Billboard became the soundtrack of a generation for young listeners 2009 fearless yet again that yeah okay Taylor guess what album is 2010 it better not be fearless no but it is taylor swift it is speak now speak now taylor swift massive first week sales cemented her as the defining artist of the next decade one of the largest CD sale releases of all time that's insane so Taylor Swift took three spots on this list I'm so done I'm so done the comments are David David Artichoke was on see I told you I told you yeah who was I looking up David Duke Ferdinand uh was on American Idol um you were looking for that Taylor Swift album which I don't think it was a gold dress I think it was a blue dress we're both wrong oh no it's like a it's like a white dress I think I'm thinking of the speak now this is what my CD looked like yes that is the one that you had yep yep that is the one you had is speak now purple because oh no I don't think so I think her new version of fearless is the purple dress maybe I'm pretty sure no we're wrong again this is speak now yeah but her new version of fearless I think is her in a purple dress let me see Taylor Swift fearless Taylor's version fearless no it kind of looks like folklore um that makes sense it makes it makes sense because I just looked up Taylor Swift um speak now and it's she like did redid the album covers yep that's the one that I'm thinking of yep um but anyways guys that that's our that's our list for the day that was uh the the top seven albums that defined our generation oh no you're right because she took up no we'll say top eight I think her I think fearless deserves no that's why I'm

saying eight out of the ten the other two I don't think so but I think fearless the first fearless did deserve where it was that makes sense sure but I don't think speak now deserves anything if I'm gonna be honest with you that's fair I could have thought of other albums to put there um fearless also had love story on it didn't it dude I don't know she literally dominated like 20 like 2008 to like 2026 it's kind of crazy it really is insane when you think about it but truly like yeah bro like you can be annoyed you can be annoyed but she's a good artist yeah dude if we're talking honestly though honestly honestly well yeah dude like matter of factly for real bruh bruh yeah I don't know man but that's crazy yeah this has been this has been a very good episode I've actually really enjoyed this me too I wasn't sure how I was gonna like it I'm gonna be honest with you why well no no nothing nothing like against you at all no I just meant like I didn't know like content wise like when I was putting the show together I didn't know if it was gonna it it seemed like a boring topic no no I think I think this is this this is the most honestly I dare I say this is the most music focused show that we've done in 12 years honestly great callback thanks now a minute from our ad reads by merch by merch by merch by merch by merch subscribe subscribe follow the gram the instagram anywho but for real guys though by merch honestly subscribe and follow the Instagram Taylor it is that time I know you gotta get off here and Lindsay's gonna be ready to kill me when I get out of here so all right everybody if you like today's episode go ahead and give it a big thumbs up subscribe and don't forget to hit that bell notification so you can be notified every time we post a new video and as always please go follow the Instagram subscribe to the YouTube page we are officially the hook and bridge network now we are no longer the hook and bridge podcast we are the hook and bridge network so we are pushing harder into the YouTube uh YouTube universe the YouTube universe so like the Instagram is still gonna be for the hook and bridge podcast and obviously you're listening to this show so you're gonna have the hook and bridge podcast but like on YouTube we're gonna be doing a bunch of new stuff over there um all of the dark side of music stuff is going on the Patreon so if you want to watch those videos you have to go sign up for the Patreon. They are free but you have to go sign up um and then the dark side of music will still continue to go out as an audio podcast for everybody that listens um but moving forward we are going to be doing a lot more YouTube exclusive content like the 10 minute album reviews that I do uh we're gonna bring back tasty tunes and we've got a couple of other things in the works uh we're gonna bring back to Facebook Taylor are we no maybe we'll see don't push me I don't know gosh I'm just trying to figure it out please um we are talking though Danny and I about him doing a show with Courtney uh called Danny's curious and it's going to be a riot can Danny also ask my questions because I have I need to know how Bluetooth works well see these are the things guys you gotta we'll we'll start getting ready to prepare for promoting lists because he's gonna have a lot of questions yeah um but that's one of those things that's gonna be over there we've got our gaming stuff over there we're trying to build a network so we're trying to make sure that Adam is a Nepo baby guys please help make that happen no it's not even that we're trying to build a community and like I wanna I want to make a network not for any sort of profit this we're not making money on this show let's be real there there's no money being made here you're starting to make a sound like a goal that's okay no no hear me out okay I want a community of people who love music and I want you to be able to have like the other things that you enjoy like comedy and cooking and uh true crime like but all music guys everything is going to have a music through line but it's going to be on the HMB network. So if you're interested in doing your own show on our network reach out I am looking for people who want to do their own shows as well so I'm I'm accepting pitches for shows is what I'm getting at.
